Hanami Extended Desk Mat

Hanami is a genuine woodblock triptych from the late 1800s: a cherry-blossom viewing party in full spring dress, deep reds against pale petals, with figures scattered right across the width. Chikanobu was among the last great ukiyo-e designers, working as the tradition gave way to photography.

It's the most colourful and most densely detailed piece in the collection, which makes it a statement rather than a backdrop. At 900 × 400mm the full triptych reads end to end, the way it was composed to.
